Description:
Requires Masters Degree in field related to Human Services from an accredited college or university, which include but not limited to: Social Work; Clinical Psychology; Counseling; Rehabilitative Counseling; Counseling Education; Education; Criminal Justice; or Ministry and at least two (2) years full-time experience in mental health or addictions treatment setting or certification as an Addictions Professional (CAP) by the Certification Board for Addiction Professionals of Florida. Requires participation in a staff-training program. Requires considerable knowledge of addictions and/or mental health treatment including types of programs, various therapeutic methods and techniques, and an understanding of the factors contributing to the development of substance abuse and/or mental health problems. Bachelors Degree in social work, mental health or other related field. Preference of a Masters Degree and a LCSW, or LMHC license or equivalent. Has computer operation skills, knowledge of Medicaid/private insurance documentation and billing procedures, knowledge of coordination of benefits and billing procedures for said benefits, strong organizational skills, and at least two (2) years full-time experience in a setting where the aforementioned knowledge and skills were utilized. Position will promote Florida Center in the community, including assisting the Executive Director in outreach to the area politicians and community stake holders. Assist in training the staff in clinical matters, basic operations, and general program development. Actively participate in the further development of the Co-Occurring Therapeutic Process and Activities. Provide clinical counseling/assistance to participants at Florida Center, emphasizing special needs clients. Serve as acting supervisor in the absence of the Clinical Director.
